Scope of work
In a young field like mobile experiences, with few established paradigms, independent research is vital. Pocket-Proof has been a thought leader from the beginning, with experience of working on dozens of projects across the world.
But we don't think our working expertise is enough. We are constantly conducting research about the museum mobile community, with first-hand analyses of hundreds of museums around the world. We share our research with our community of 1,500+ museum professionals, in two ways:
- the Museums-Mobile Online Survey, which takes the pulse of the field every year about objectives, challenges and the future of mobile interpretation
- the Museums & Mobile Conference, an annual online gathering of museum professionals to discuss practical issues relating to topical museums mobile issues including mobile websites, tablet-based mobile experiences, designing for younger audiences, content for mobile, open-source mobile solutions and iOS vs. Android vs. Web Apps.
